Recently we have seen more and more signs of a transition to a new era of societal development. The world is changing right before our eyes. In America, advertising campaigns are literally overturning established canons of beauty.

“… Today, a black woman born male can tower on a huge billboard as a kind of ideal ,” writes journalist Mara Delius in Le Figaro about the heroine of the billboard, American transgender model and actress Yari Jones. – Because all of a sudden our idea of the beautiful, dating back to Antiquity, seems to be giving way to a counter-model that can make us think about what “beautiful” really means.

Recently in America, all cultural institutions, publishing houses, and fashion magazines have been fighting racism in this way.

Today, a full black, transgender-transformed model in the U.S. qualifies for diversity. She fits into the Bodypositive social movement, which advocates the idea that every body is beautiful. Perfection in imperfection and beauty in diversity – this is the new ideal of beauty. In protest against the conservative foundations of society, Americans are breaking down all frameworks.

Another example of protest. In Alabama, students threw parties with infected people – specifically, to get the coronavirus. The first person infected would break the bank.

The selfishness that has increased to the limit drowns out even the sense of self-preservation, and people have a “feast during the plague. Notions of the value of the family are also crumbling. Same-sex marriages are on the rise because it is easier for two men or two women to agree among themselves. They don’t have to make an effort to build a relationship with a partner of the opposite sex.

There is a growing number of childfree young people who do not want to have children and take responsibility for their upbringing. Children are expensive, they would have to give up many pleasures and sacrifice career advancement.

Young people are abandoning the old values, they are not attracted to work for career and status, they do not see a goal in life. People aspire to go beyond the old world, but they don’t know what to aspire to.

We seem to be living in a time of change. This era is accompanied by devastating and painful changes in our lives, changes in our consciousness. And this transition can only be made together, rising above all disagreements and contradictions, supporting and helping one another. It is a great and beautiful goal, worth living and working for.
