The mysterious realm of existence

This mysterious realm of existence constantly has to be recalculated. It is mysterious because, on closer examination, it includes not only the benefits and harms of my personal interests and those of my neighbor, but something that is greater than the sum of all interests.

There is the following:

(a) My interests;

b) the interests of the other,

c) a commonality that brings people together.

The first one is clear to us.

We are taught to reckon with the latter.

In place of the third is a bold question mark.

Regarding the interests of the other, the “neighbor”: all arguments about having to reckon with them…, having to respect others…, respecting their interests…, are all nothing more than artificial constructs.

Because the interests of the other do not exist for me.

And they are only present in me as a derivative (not a mathematician, so I’m not sure of the term), – a derivative of my interests. Let’s put it this way: they must be satisfied insofar as the dissatisfaction of my neighbor can do me harm.

The other thing is common.

This mysterious realm of existence constantly has to be recalculated. It is mysterious because, on closer examination, it includes not only the benefits and harms of my personal interests and those of my neighbor, but something that is greater than the sum of all interests. Some kind of, you know, systemic effect.

And it, this common, though it is “something,” exists a) objectively and b) constantly.

But personal interests, though they are not “something,” are quite such demanding creatures, but they have a “flickering” existence. They appear, go out, change, grow, disappear….

So, it must be said, everything in the world is set up completely wrong.

It would be more correct if the common appeared in one’s inner world and then in one’s life calculations, calculations, and motivations as something that existed from the beginning.

Even though it is actually hidden from us in the present.

Because the basic dilemma of existence is this: the common is something that has to be figured out or even invented every time? Or is it something that already exists, originally? And if so, then it turns out that it determines each particular private choice and decision?
