How to overcome the difficulties of self-isolation in the family

UN Secretary-General António Guterres said that with the introduction of a long quarantine and self-imposed isolation regime in many countries, the number of cases of domestic violence has increased sharply. This is caused by an atmosphere of fear, uncertainty about the future and the economic crisis.

A large number of women turn to support services. To help victims of domestic violence, the UN is proposing increased funding for nonprofit organizations that provide such assistance.

During forced isolation, we see that people’s selfishness has grown so much that they can’t stand to have even family and friends around them.

Unemployment and insecurity exacerbate this situation. The family feels abandoned.

In order to defuse a negative situation, it is important to render psychological aid to families virtually, to teach people to work with their emotions. The state should give subsidies to all families to make them feel more secure. It is also important to show people that they are not alone. Virtual communication with friends, sharing experiences with other families will help.

Only through the joint efforts of the whole society can we overcome all the difficulties and negatives of isolation.
