The future is already here

102

Lately, when I talk to my friends, colleagues, and relatives, I often hear questions: When will it all end, what awaits us? What is the future? Where will we work, what will we live on?

And really, when you think about it, what happens next?

Some have lost their jobs and can’t pay the mortgage or feed their families; some have become isolated from their families; some are waiting for things to finally end; some are in denial or looking for someone to blame. We were all “in the same boat. Everyone is puzzled about the future, or rather, the uncertainty that lies ahead. In most cases, people simply want to survive the crisis and return to a clear, familiar way of life.

And will it be so? Or ask another way: what do we want from the future? And how do we want to enter that future?

Let’s think about what we have left in the past?

The colossal busyness of various affairs, work, earning money, often to the detriment of family, health, socializing with friends. Life is every man for himself.

What’s happening now?

Being away from each other and in need of the simplest, most basic things, we suddenly discovered the most important thing – the need for live human communication, support, a “sense of shoulder. And the form of communication has changed dramatically. I watch people (even strangers) willingly share information, skills, training. They want to help each other, support each other, cheer each other up.

We were all on an equal footing-not by social status, education, or other parameters. And if desired, together find a way out, a solution. Each of us has stopped focusing only on our own interests. We are all caught up in a global collective addiction. On the one hand, the virus alienated us; on the other hand, we began to create a new reciprocal relationship built on the principle of “giving to the other.

So what’s next? Do we really want to wait out the crisis and go back to the old pursuit of “happiness”? Or can we create our happy future together now? And what it will be is up to us to decide!

Good luck to us all!
