We are on self-isolation. Time stood still. The streets are deserted. All at home. Someone is cooking dinner, someone is sitting on social media, someone is watching the latest news about the coronavirus on TV. It entered our lives suddenly, unceremoniously, and continues to conquer cities and entire countries, taking human lives and generating much speculation around it. It would seem that we know almost everything about him, but, alas! He continues to amaze us with his resourcefulness and new “feats”.

Living on self-isolation, we begin to look at everything that happens differently. We had time to think: What is the purpose of this stop along the way? Perhaps it’s time to think about something global, like how do we not lose the battle against a very dangerous enemy, a worldwide pandemic? And how will the world change after that?

The world will change, of course, if we change. And we are changing under the impact of the crisis. And this can be seen even in social networking. It becomes more meaningful than in “non-quarantine” times. For example, TV host and writer Andrei Maksimov notes this: “In general, social networks have become… I would say that they have become more intelligent and even, I dare say it, deeper. It turns out that our compatriots are able and love to talk seriously, about the main things.

Of course, everyone’s main thing is different. For someone it is an opportunity to pay more attention to the family, children, take care that all household members are healthy, order products for elderly parents, to provide them with the necessary medicines. This is all very important during self-isolation. But there are those who also want to understand why all this happened to us? When will it all end? And what can we do to prevent this from happening again?

A common misfortune unites all. And we Russians care deeply about the fate not only of our compatriots, but also of Italians, Spaniards, Englishmen, Americans. We pray for them in anticipation of the positive news that the world pandemic is on the wane. At the state level, we are assisting Italy and the United States in the fight against coronavirus. We rejoice that China has managed the pandemic. By the way, both China and Cuba are also helping Italy beat her. It turns out that with this crisis we are breaking away from the past world, with its competitiveness, lust for profit, hatred and callousness.

Now imagine that we are together, the whole world, fighting the coronavirus. We learn from each other to stop its further spread, we share medicines and masks, and we send experienced doctors to help.

If we really join forces, we will win. The main thing is to stick together! All are equal in the face of adversity. The unity of the world we talk so much about is not the globalization of production, but real help and sympathy.
