A prophecy of a world without wars

In the book of the prophet Isaiah there is a famous phrase: “And they shall change their swords into plowshares, and their spears into sickles: the people shall not lift up sword against the people, neither shall they learn warfare any more” (Isaiah 2:2-4). Although it sounds unrealistic to today’s ears, it is indeed a prophecy, and it will be fulfilled. Prophets are not wrong because they see the future as if it were the present.

This prophecy refers to the time when the full true picture of the universe will be revealed, when all will know and understand how the laws of nature govern everyone and everything. Everyone will come to this state to attain understanding, feeling and seeing – revelation.

“They shall turn their swords into plowshares, and their spears into sickles ” – in this phrase we see a very desirable state of peace without wars. Of course, then there would be no need for war, and instead of fighting there would be creative work. This is the point of using sickles and making gardens – when we keep peace with each other.

Moreover, this state of peace is not what we now define as peace, that is, an agreement to be free of war and conflict. Rather, it describes a state of peace in the fullest sense of the word, since “peace” in Hebrew means “wholeness,” a state where the fulfillment that enters our lives is complete.

These are the states we experience when we discover that the laws of nature are not operating in our lives in accordance with those very laws. We will achieve them when we desire them. There will come a stage in the development of mankind when we will feel that we cannot continue to live apart from the knowledge and feeling of the true laws of nature which govern us, and that their discovery is all that is lacking.

It’s a state we can’t yet envision because we don’t yet have the desire for it. In the future, the more we suffer, the more we will want to discover the true laws of nature. However, it is possible to attain such a desire without a great accumulation of suffering. The more we incorporate connection-enriching learning into our lives, impacting each other, recognizing the need and importance of positive connection with each other over our self-centered and divisive drives, the more we create the conditions to achieve the necessary desire to align ourselves with the laws of nature – the laws of complete interconnectedness and interdependence.

We hope to make strides in approaching the desire to discover the true laws of nature through connection-enriching learning, increase our awareness and realization of the reality we find ourselves in, and thereby reduce the need for all sorts of blows to be dealt to us on our way to those future peaceful states described by the prophet Isaiah.
