4 corporate principles on which to build relationships

A man spends half his life at work. This fact makes you realize that in the workplace it is important to be in a good state of mind and in a positive environment. We have only one life, it’s stupid to waste it on something you don’t like.

Companies used to be concerned about keeping or making subordinates work by force, by the influence of status, by the carrot and stick method. Now more and more modern organizations pay attention to the fact that the work is a place where it is pleasant for a person to realize themselves, to unlock their potential. And also help in professional and personal development.

And the employees reciprocate. They also want to perform well in relation to executives and the company itself. Their interest in the overall success of the organization as their own business grows, and work becomes a way of life.

Working in such an organization, I became familiar with the values on which relationships within the team are built. The company is a big family. And like every strong family, there are values here. When an employee comes to work, first of all, he or she is introduced to the values and mission of the company.

  1. Act with benefit. Every action is beneficial to the world and to those around us – colleagues or customers. I ask myself this question before I do anything so I don’t lose my bearings. If the answer is yes, it works, if not, it’s a reason to think. Understanding that you’re making a difference gives you the opportunity to work to your full potential. Useless actions, and therefore wasted time simply does not exist.
  2. Build relationships based on a common result. You have to understand that each of us has his own character. And we may have natural sympathies or antipathies for each other. None of this should interfere with our common cause. If a colleague is annoying, we don’t think about how to hurt him, we discuss the situation and find a solution. And vice versa, if he “messes up,” we don’t turn a blind eye to it because we’re friends or we go out to lunch together, but we pay attention to it tactfully. Friendship is friendship, but service is service.
  3. Love your job. I’ve already said that before. I can’t spend half my life doing something I don’t like. We do what we love to do, and it benefits the world. If not satisfied with the tasks performed, we come to the management with a solution and find a role to our liking. If there is no such business in the company, then leave without offense.
  4. Treating colleagues and customers with care. That’s the way it is in the company: to take care of each other. Helping clients understand their questions. To colleagues – to help solve problems. This also includes effective communication. 90% of communication takes place in chat rooms. Therefore, it is important to be able to write well, briefly and concisely convey the message. Helping a colleague to understand you from the word go is a sign of caring – thereby you save him time and attention. The better we communicate, the faster the communication between us, and therefore the more efficient the work processes.

These values help make good decisions and make the team strong and cohesive. There are ten in all. I have shared those that relate to communication between people. The rest are about professional qualities. Already these four are enough to be pleasantly surprised at the approaches used, and very successfully, in today’s world.

This example shows that if we build our relationships at work, in the family, and in the community on the principles of common purpose, love, caring, and mutual respect, we will not waste a single effort, minute, or dollar on useless actions. And we successfully carry out all the tasks that face us.
