Slimness Marathon

A week ago I started a slimness marathon. It happened quite unexpectedly for me. I came to visit my brother, and his wife lost 14 kg. Well, as it usually happens, I was “strangled by the greed”: she could, but I could not?

For a couple of years now I’ve been suffering from excessive 25 kg. It is, of course, creepy to carry another person on your back. Anyone who has the same problem will understand me.

I’m not going to lie, I’ve tried everything I can to lose weight. Frankly, it’s hard work. Constant control over yourself leads to the fact that you stop enjoying life, you start to obsess over every kilogram. In general, you become a hostage of your own body, which from time to time takes over you and tells you what to eat and what not to eat. It is necessary to have willpower and great desire to tame it.

At some points it gets boring, you give it all up, and then the extra pounds come, which are ugly in different parts of the body. And then a new problem begins – psychological – dissatisfaction with oneself, dissatisfaction with life. And then the bad mood, in ascending order, is transferred to relatives and acquaintances. A little later there are health problems, ranging from chronic stress and the desire to sleep, to shortness of breath, swelling, digestive problems, and more.

I don’t want to intimidate anyone with various quotes from medical dictionaries. I just want to say that the roots of these problems are not only in nutrition. This is more of a consequence, but the root of the problem comes from childhood, when we replace some of the child’s feelings with food. If he cried, we gave him a bottle of food or a candy to calm him down, instead of trying to figure out why he was crying. So we’re forming the wrong neural connection in him, and as a consequence of that, the body is not transmitting the brain’s reactions correctly.

There are times when a baby needs affection or just a bottle of water more than food. And when he grows up, goes to kindergarten or school, there is even more disruption of his relationship with food. And it is necessary and important to take this into account – eating habits cannot be the same for everyone, because we, in principle, are born different. And then there’s a glitch.

Experiencing an enormous amount of stress, modern man tries to compensate for it with the pleasure of food. So the body demands something that contains a lot of carbohydrates: fast food or sweets. For such a person, the food industry invents a lot of products, snacks high in sugar, carbohydrates and fat.

There are many simple examples like this – our community gradually grows an addict out of a normal person, who is plugged by poor nutrition.

All over the world, the food industry comes up with a lot of products stuffed with chemicals and various flavorings that completely dull the natural taste buds. After a while we become accustomed to eating with our eyes rather than as necessary and useful. Hence the extra pounds and poor health.

And then you are ready to help a lot of sources to help this problem: dietary supplements, diets, medical developments, in general, the whole industry of similar “helpers.

Overproduction of consumer products causes ecological failures because mass production, dumping and emission of toxic substances clogs the environment. As we can see, everything is in sync in nature: an obese human body littered with excess food is similar to what the entire ecosystem looks like.

Faced with this problem after many years, I realized for myself that the cause of any imbalance is improper communication, immersion in the problem and unwillingness to consciously take responsibility for my life, slimness, etc. Also a strong factor is the environment, which influences behavior and habits and guides a person’s development. Friends are the decisive lever that can turn your life around and determine who you will be tomorrow.

A society steeped in fear, insecurity, and uncertainty causes people to be under constant stress and to reach for unhealthy foods. The repetitive impulse behavior of eating lays the memory of past pleasure in the body, and the uncontrolled consumption of food becomes a habit.

By replacing food with the joyful emotions of relaxing or spending time with family and loved ones, one finally becomes addicted to quick pleasure. And a quick pleasure is an engine that stores energy in the body, storing up for a rainy day. But it does not come, as it does in the animal world. It’s a vicious circle. But he could have enjoyed a pleasant conversation or nature and travel. And don’t get fat!

The conclusion suggests itself. Incorrect connections built in society from kindergarten, school, and so on, lead to many health problems. And the solution to the problem should be sought in the creation of an environment that would develop a person physically and spiritually.
