Cambridge University professor Chengway Liu, after analyzing the stories of successful American companies, concluded that their high results are mostly accidental. He noted that 16 out of 50 such companies eventually went bankrupt. And 23 after significant business success have ceased to be leaders in their industries.

The professor noted the same situation in other areas of human activity, such as music. At the end of his study, Chengwei Liu summed it up this way: success is primarily the result of great luck, not the result of consistent, well-thought-out actions and a special talent of the person.

An interesting study was also conducted by James Heckman, the Nobel Prize laureate in economics. He explained why erudition, high intelligence is not directly related to success in life. They are only 1-2% of it. James Heckman believes that great success is, above all, hard work, self-discipline and persistence in achieving the goal. But this point of view is not the last either.

A group of psychologists from Washington University in St. Louis has concluded that success, fame, wealth are most often achieved by people who have reliable partners. By reliable partners we mean husbands and wives, not business partners. If one of them, for example, the wife is conscientious in her work, home duties, it encourages the other partner, the husband, to invest as much as he can in what he is doing. Such a relationship always works for the benefit of the family and contributes to its status and financial well-being.

So, according to the above data, the components of success are luck, hard work, self-discipline and a reliable partner nearby. As for luck, I would like to quote Hans Georg Gadamer: “Luck comes to him who has learned his trade.

Let’s move on. Hard work, perseverance and self-discipline – everything is clear here, too. All of these qualities are important for success. As for a reliable partner, not everyone may agree with this statement by the Washington researchers. And in vain! If a person strives to achieve something not for himself, but for his partner, for his family, then his strength increases many times over, and he achieves success faster. A sense of elbow, support and example of a person close to you, create a favorable atmosphere for creativity, creativity, achieving goals. Success and recognition in society are sure to follow them.
