Is the world facing its worst economic crisis in 80 years?

The head of the UN António Guterres foretold the world economic downturn due to the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

Maybe it’s not a crisis, but a transition? “Crisis” in Greek means “upheaval,” a time of transition.

People’s relationships have long been at a standstill: inequality corrodes society, people take to the streets, hatred and indifference have grown. It seems as if nature itself has entered into this mutating selfish process, for the “magnates of economic growth” have not voluntarily distributed to society the millions they have allegedly earned by sitting on oil, gas and other natural and non-natural resources that belong to everyone living on the planet.

The head of the UN is convinced that this situation is caused by inequality and the unjust structure of society.

How can that be? Some have islands, yachts and airplanes, while others do not have even their daily bread! Because the former were in the right place at the right time and the latter were not? After all, because of everyone’s selfish nature, no one would voluntarily distribute the benefits in society fairly.

Here comes the crisis. Not a crisis, but a transition, when those who work for society with their hands – such as the doctor, nurse, teacher, educator, turner, baker, barber, janitor – will be appreciated. During the pandemic we were able to see their value and importance in society.

The moment has come when there has been no better year in the history of human development than the year 2020. Nature has turned on the “stopcock” to reset the system of relationship degradation. What was built on selfish laws will fall apart so that mankind can build anew on altruistic laws of nature. And she reminded us of that in 2020.

So it all depends on our desire for unity. And then there is no need to fear the economic crisis, but rather to look forward to the transition to a new world where all are equal and important.
