How to help yourself as much as possible

Suffering is known to change a person. But can we change without suffering and tragedy? You may ask – why, in fact, change? Whoever needs it, let them change, I’m fine as I am.

I’ve seen it all once in a movie, and I’m still upset

.

What, in fact, is going on these days? It all depends on the observer and personal interest. Some old film about the 1917 revolution in Petrograd comes to mind. It showed different characters and how they perceived what was happening. Someone with a gun ran to the Zimniy. Someone sympathized, but stayed away. Someone was looking for a way to make money on all this. Someone was just looking out the window, waiting for it to be over so they could go for a walk in the park again. And some, in the backwoods, heard nothing at all and only learned of the events months later. And, of course, there are history books and other sources of reliable information, written by those who were born decades after these events.

But am I so sure I need to know the answer?

Since human nature does not change, history does not change in our eyes. Most of us are simple everyday people who don’t care about anything else but our personal problems. There are also “sofa experts” among us, ready to share their opinions in social networks, to teach others, to give wise advice. But as long as the situation doesn’t affect us personally, we usually watch from the sidelines and wait for things to go away.

Why am I waiting for dawn? The dawn will not come.

Who needs it?

The current situation has one peculiarity: no one knows its causes and what needs to be done. The statistics on the virus are improving – we happily take off our masks and run to the beach, to a restaurant, to the theater. Then we are surprised to hear of a new outbreak. And our favorite “benches” are closing again. Then we sit and wait for a vaccine to be invented. But the problem is that there is money and power involved. This means that the availability and quality of the vaccine depends on those who are trying to make money from it. Moreover, many create the vaccine to outdo others, not to help them. Mistrust between countries has reached such proportions that it is not certain that people will use someone else’s vaccines.

Just me

Part of a world that doesn’t exist

This disconnect between people, this state of permanent conflict that humanity is in, is worse than any virus. It is the source of all problems and diseases. And the virus is just a side effect that prompts us to look for the cause.

So if we want to get the most out of the situation, we have to change some things about ourselves.

The evolution of nature and the world leads to a convergence of people. The ancient prophets of all religions as well as many modern thinkers speak of this. Consequently, any step to bring people closer will be for their benefit. I’m not urging you to drop everything and run off to do good deeds or contribute to charities. We can see that this doesn’t fix the situation. First of all, we
we need to change our inner attitude toward others, to stop thinking badly of others, to begin to reckon with both loved ones and strangers.

“You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one

A seemingly simple step, but how difficult it is to take! In our thoughts, in our hearts, there is no room for others. On the other hand, it is a purely psychological barrier, overcoming which we will see that it is not so difficult. Moreover, all the laws of nature are tuned to this wave and operate according to the “do no harm” principle. By changing our thoughts, our attitudes toward each other, we will change our lives for the better. Sitting around waiting for someone else to start, for someone else to do it for us, is useless. He won’t start and he won’t do it. Life will pass like 5 minutes and will be perceived only as a sequence of suffering. But asking yourself, what have you personally done to change that? – do we have the right answer?

“I hope someday you’ll join us and the world will be as one

Anyway, friends, I suggest that those who are ready give it a try. After all, we have nothing to lose.
